As I looked through this website at all of the charms I could pick from, I realized that these beautiful lockets can help tell my cancer story!
If I were to create a locket for my cancer story, here's what I'd do:
1. I'd pick the largest silver locket - with crystals around the outside (bling, remember?)
2. I'd put it on the longest chain - 32" - so I could add things later
3. I'd choose a silver "plate" to be the background of the locket, perhaps with the word "LOVE" stamped on it... that is the word I most associate with my cancer journey.
4. The charms I'd choose:
A breast cancer ribbon, of course.
A heart with "Family" stamped on it (for my family who took care of me).
A silver disk with "Faith" stamped on it.
A tube of red lipstick (to symbolize my mastectomies... "I Wore Lipstick To My Mastectomy").
A pink running shoe (to symbolize the Walk for the Cure events).
And an angel charm (for all the angels that helped me).
5. I'd top it all off with a beautiful pink crystal "dangle".
So, if you are looking for something meaningful to tell your cancer story, or to mark the end of your journey, check out this website - Origami Owl.
(This could go on your Christmas Wish List - I'm just sayin'...)
